What the review calendar controls
The review calendar tells Alignis which part of the appraisal year is active. It helps administrators open quarterly reviews, open annual appraisals, and keep users focused on the right period.
When to open a period
Open a review period when the required plans and records are ready and users should begin entering updates or scores.
- Open monthly reviews after performance plans are ready for the month.
- Open quarterly appraisals when the quarter should be scored.
- Open annual appraisals when the year-end review process should begin.
- Avoid opening a period before staff records, supervisors, and sign-off routes are correct.
Locking and changing the year
Locking helps preserve decisions once scoring rules and review windows are settled. If the calendar needs to change, communicate the change clearly so users understand what is open and what is closed.
