Where notifications appear
The bell is for recent items. The notification center is for reviewing a longer list, marking items as read, and opening connected records.
What to do with a notification
Open the connected record if action is needed. Mark informational notices as read after you have seen them.
Keeping the list useful
Unread action items should stay visible until handled. Older read messages should remain available from the notification center without crowding the main view.
