What a contract shows

A performance contract lists the result areas, objectives, KPIs, targets, weights, timelines, and initiatives assigned to one person for the performance period.

How sign-off works

The sign-off path depends on your organization's policy. A record should only wait for the people who are required to sign it.

  • The employee confirms their own contract when required.
  • The supervisor signs after reviewing the assigned work.
  • A final sign-off officer signs only when the policy requires it.
  • If a leader has no higher reviewer, the policy can allow the record to complete without an extra sign-off.

Reading record history

Record history shows important changes such as generation, submission, review, reassignment, and sign-off. It helps users understand what happened without changing the record itself.
